Dear Parents and Students:
RockNfun Music, LLC has noticed that the quality of our lessons is being lowered due to numerous cancellations. Another concern that has been brought to our attention is the inaccuracy of our bills based on charging for lessons ahead of time. We understand this can be confusing because missed lessons do not get credited until the teacher submits their report. You can view your statement online, which is updated by the 2nd and the 17th of every month. We are a customer-first company and only want the best for our students so we are making a few improvements; this will include discounts for semester-only students. Below is an overview of the changes that will take place in the upcoming months.
Student Discounts
- Students have the option to stay monthly or become semester based. Semester based students will receive $4 off per lesson provided the semester is paid in advance. The next semester, which will start on the first of October, must be paid in full by September 26th in order to receive the discount.
- Unfortunately, we cannot discount monthly accounts. You become a monthly account if you do not purchase the semester by September 26th.
Billing Changes
Bills can be seen as confusing or inaccurate because we bill before the lessons have taken place. Some solutions we have come up with are as follows:
- We will bill at the end of the month instead of in advance based on lessons already completed, starting in October 2008.
- Semester students (Advance payments, in full by September 26th, for the semester) will track their lessons on the website, which will be updated by the 2nd and 17th of every month. They will not receive monthly statements in the mail.
Due to frequent late payments, we are changing the following payment options:
- You become a monthly account if you do not purchase the semester package a week before the start of the new semester. Monthly accounts must have a credit card and a signed authorization on file. This form will also be available on our website. We will cancel your lessons if we do not have a credit card on file with a signed authorization form or pre-payment for the semester by that date.
- All payments not received by the monthly due dates-15 days after the first of the following month-will be charged to the credit card in addition to a $40 late fee. NO EXCEPTIONS. If your credit card is declined, we will request another one. If we don't receive one, we will cancel the lessons and proceed with our collection procedures.
- To ensure accurate bills, we are giving the client possession of the lesson verification forms, which is the form that clients have been signing to verify the lessons. The new and improved lesson verification forms will have bar codes assigned for each lesson. This will guarantee proper crediting. At each lesson, the parent/guardian or adult student will hand the bar coded coupon to their teacher, who will hand it in to the office for payment. Please download bar code coupons off of www.rocknfunmusic.com.
- An adult student or a parent/guardian will need to sign one coupon and hand it to the teacher for each lesson. The teacher will hand this coupon in for payment and your account will be charged for that specific lesson.
- No more schedule changes will be recognized when made between the teacher and parent/student. This will prevent confusion in bills and allow the office to keep our system updated. Email schedule requests/changes to info@rocknfunmusic.com.
- RockNfun Music is also changing the teacher 'no show' policy to benefit the client! Clients will receive a free lesson if they report the no show within 5 hours of the lesson. Reporting after 5 hours will result only in a make-up.
- We do not credit for missed lessons. All lessons must be made up within 30 days. Make-ups must be scheduled through info@rocknfunmusic.com. For semester students, missed lessons on the last day of the semester will be made up during the make up week. See calendar for dates.
